Tales of First Time Home Buyers

For first time home buyers, an unequaled level of service is needed. Buying a home is a process filled with a series of decisions requiring the input of several different professionals. For instance, they may have to deal with professionals… or not so professionals, ranges real estate agent, lawyer, moving agent, friends and family etc. It’s no wonder first time home buyers feel a little lost or overwhelmed. When a first time home buyers come to me, they often do not know much about the home buying process. They are looking to me to provide guidance and to help walk them through the process, taking the fear and unknown out of it.
What makes first time home buyers unique is that they don’t know what to expect and therefore need someone to guide them through the process, making it pleasant and providing an understanding that meets the new home buyer expectation.
First time home buyers needs someone to sit down with them and have a conversation with them to find what do they want and to understand the financial picture in their head.
In my experience, first time home buyers ranges from the well researched to I don’t don’t care, get me a #%# mortgage. Although the internet provides information, in most cases it is not cohesive or relevant to first time home buyers.
Not knowing where to jump in can be a dilemma to first time home buyers. Some buyers go the banks with excellent to very poor financial information but not knowing how to leverage their credit information. Sometime the banks cannot find the right solution to fit your financial needs, especially if your credit is less than par. Then what do you do?
Considering the primary goal of a mortgage agent or associate is to match first time home buyers client with the right mortgage product, why not consider one.
